Credit check frequency & account application

I generally have a very good credit rating but have been applying for a few bank accounts / savings accounts over the last few months.
I got refused a N&P account at the start of this month (which was a surprise, but may have been down to a couple of other reasons), but was accepted for Nationwide flexaccount yesterday. I'm keen to move my main account away from A&L, but don't know if the above will prevent my first choice of provider form taking me on.
Does anyone know how long I would need to leave before applying for a new account? Would banks be put off if I'm otherwise an excellent risk?

6 Months between applications, I found out the hard way recently, 65 credit searches in 3 months, oops!Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

I'd say 3 to 6 months. As i only apply for credit four times a year max, 1 search every 3 months but you've done two searches this month but could probably apply in 3:hello:0
