Help needed to find a last-minute hol with 2 single rooms

Can anyone help me please? I've spent days trying to find a holiday for myself and a friend with no luck!

The stumbling block is always that we require 2 single rooms. (Why is this always such a pain?) The idea is just to get away and have a break before my friend starts some gruelling medical treatment at the end of April. Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Departure airport: Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, Newcastle, (or Heathrow at a push)
Departure date: Between 3rd and 12th April
Duration: 7-10 days
Destination: Europe or anywhere within easy reach...warm would be nice!
Type of hol: Package or tour. Any meal arrangements but not room only.
Room type: 2 x single rooms
Cost per person: Up to £700 inc.

We almost had a hol booked with Page and Moy going to Barga and exploring Tuscany but they let us down at the last minute as they couldn't find us single rooms :mad:

I think you will have to book flights and hotels separately. Your budget is more than adequate to have a good time, particularly since you seem flexible about destination.

Or try to make a package booking on a site like Expedia or lastminute, but do a search for one person. If you find something that you like, then make two separate bookings.

Approaching this from a single traveller point of view (even though I know you aren't), have a look at Mercury Direct. They offer holidays with no single supplements covering various dates and destinations.

Just one example I picked at random (hoping it might be warm) is the 4* Ascos Beach Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus. Showing no single supplement for the whole month of April the prices are showing as 7/10 days HB £399/£485 for deps up to 14th April (although you will prob have to add on a regional flight supplement).
