I'm ok, been for a filling and now the feelings coming back its really painful! I'm sucking crisps, so probably not the best thing for it. Going out in a bit for a meal for my mum's birthday-don't know what I'm going to eat because I can't chew! :rotfl:

How are you today?(Apart from the head, I've gathered that hurts!)

Give em hell - that doesn't sound right but RBS aren't the most efficient bank

    (((Big Hugs)))

Had to get OH to speak to them on my behalf because I started with a panic attack. We're going to pay off £900 by tuesday because we're getting a new loan tomorrow with our current bank...but now RBS have put me on a payment plan for £223.68 a month (incidentally this is what I have paid off the loan every month without failure for the past 3 years) and they're going to review it in 6 months.

I'm sorry, but all I'm willing to pay is what I signed in agreement to on the loan. I wouldn't mind if I've defaulted.

I'm pig sick of it all. Just had a colleague from work call round to see how I am - that was nice.

Does anyone know what I mean by being affected by the people you spend the most time with?

Some people seem to drag you down when you are in a good mood and seem cheerful when you feel tired and some can elevate you no matter how you feel

I feel I am surrounded by people who don't want me too happy but get at me when I am down or extra nice till I feel better then deflate me.

How do you cope with people who seem to be a drag or seem to want you in a certain way but not in another?

I still feel tired and my OH is being OK but will he deal with our son effectively. Our son used to bother us in the other house and my OH didn't do enough to keep him in line and get at me when I tried to keep order. I felt so undermined.

When our son was under 5 my mother used to look after him a lot to help out and she let him get away with too much. She undermined our authority then. When we went to Edinburgh he was a lot better until he left school in 2004.

My mother and OH wonder why he isn't getting his life in order, they let him get away with too much and get at me when I try to put him on the straight and narrow. I am leaving it to them to deal with him, I am sick of being the ogre for trying to do the right thing for him. He is 20 years old !!!!!!. Our son needs to find a job so he doesn't want to stay up all night and disturb us. I don't mind him having people round but don't want to be kept awake in the small hours when I am going out the next day (or not).

We are only on a short let, so if at the end of it I am not happy with the way I am being treated, I will find my own place, so I can grow. I can't cope with being deflated when I feel happy, being undermined or got at when I feel under the weather. I am sick of feeling wrong for being a human being, yet others being allowed to get away with murder around me.

I know exactly what you mean ccstar, but the only way I've found to cope with those people is to try not to be around them. I guess that won't work for you with it being your family. You must love them or you wouldn't still be there, but its finding a way of coping with them too. Do you get any counselling or that sort of thing? Sorry I can't be very helpful

It is horrible when you have a filling. I know I am going to need a couple, haven't been for a year and going for a check up next week. I hope she is better than the one I dumped in Edinburgh when he didn't help me in an emergency.

You could have soup that has cooled down or rice pudding that has cooled too. Take painkillers and get an early night - it should be OK tomorrow.

CC the only thing I can suggest is that you try and maintain a 'layer' between yourself and the people that have a negative effect on you. If that makes any sense hun? It's not good for you to be continually drained by people around you, ihmo... you need to maintain some kind of equilibrium with your own energies and not let them be constantly dissipated by the negativity of those around you. Foreground your own needs hun, at least some of the time...

  • CCstar -I know what you mean and I agree with meyore...the best thing to do is steer clear of them until you feel ready to be around people like that.

Sometimes, when I'm having a bad day - I don't necessarily want to be told "you have alot to be thankful for" "what are you depressed about?" etc etc...I want to be allowed to feel like s**t.
If I wanted to be a happy flower all the time, I would be - but sometimes, life doesn't let you!

I try to keep the layer - but it is difficult when my sleeping/resting area is invaded by my family making a noise (esp our son) and people making noise outside my bathroom window putting me off my business (sorry about the tmi:D). There is a van parked outside which will make it hard for my OH to reverse into the drive. He will moan to me about it but do nothing about it. He is such a wimp when dealing with neighbours and people don't take any notice of me - I am just a woman (to be ignored or patronised:(). I find men in the UK to be so difficult and woman not very supportive but friendly and go along with the male invented system or you get the jolly 'hockey sticks' type who are really men in dresses. I found the women difficult in the States and men very easy going.

Sorry I am feeling dreadful and everyone seems to be in my face whilst trying to rest. The previous owner decided to introduce himself to us this morning, my OH was not dressed due to the bad night and felt he didn't give the best impression. It is a nice but cold/windy day today and feel fed up being indoors but feel too ill to get ready and go out. By the time I would be ready it would be evening and I don't want to go out and stay up half the night again.

I just want some normality where I can get some sleep and do my business without disturbance:(
