I am not having a good day, just found out that i will take a BIG drop in income when my youngest leaves school. At the moment i get widowed parents allowance and i thought once that stopped i would get a widows pension but apparently things have changed and i won't get anything.Luckily my son is stopping on another two years for A levels but i do not know how i will manage.I work 30 hrs a week and even if i worked full time i have no chance of making up the differance. To top it all just been stung by a massive blumming wasp.I went to the shop and it must have flown into my shopping bag because as i took my shopping out it stung me.It is ok now i put some viniger on but it was a shock.

    (((Big hugs)))

The people on my street are very nosey, and make me feel even more uncomfortable than normal. Not to mention kids try to climb over my fence, which is how I think my bike got stolen. =/ I love nature and the outdoors but I just struggle with the beady eyes watching me and judging me. =/

You know me. I'm always up for a bit of shopping, no matter what I'm buying. ;)

    xx

It sounds a bit oppressive and don't like the sound of these feral kids

The kids are like animals around here. They run riot and scare people. It's not right. We shouldn't have to live in fear. :(

Can you talk to your lecturers about your difficulties?
Try your hardest and see how things go, and don't try to stress yourself out too much. :)

I havent seen a lecture since sometime last year when we last had lectures; I am supposed to do the papers from my final year rather than the ones that have been done since.

I dont think I can sit the exam on friday I feel awful having to defer them all again but i just dont feel up to it. I have no idea how im going to manage my time with it all, I just feel so bored generally. I dont attend lectures etc and I have no friends who I can meet up with as everyone else seems to have moved on with their lives and gone back home. I just feel so motivationless and aimless about everything.

I am allowed to sign on which I did yesterday as I lost my job just over a week ago now. I dont know whether finding a job will help me get some normal stuff back or what, I have to pretend that I want f/t work but honestly i would be aiming for something p/t. Even without the exams I dont think i could cope with 8 hours a day.

I saw one of my ex-collegues in town this afternoon, she didnt say hi or nod or anything - i miss having friends and going for coffee and stuff, all the nice weather means there seems to be loads of people sat outside pubs etc. I would love to have people to meet up with. The thing is though i seem to attract nutters and people who treat me badly. I had a friend up until a few months ago who was such a bully; i told her about how things were and she insisted on trying to force me to do stuff i didnt want too. Another only ever contacted me when he wanted to go somewhere/do something no-one else was willing to go/do and yet another web freind has turned out to be an attention seeker/story fabricator/nutter. I dont know how to handle her as I know she will be be desperate as i'm her leaning post.

i honestly dont know if I am depressed or just stuck in a circle of circumstances which I cant seem to break.

If anyone here owns Cooking Mama 2, do you fail the circling the surface scum on some of the recipes? I can't seem to decipher what the surface scum looks like so can't circle it and fail that part of the recipe. :(

    xx

What's cooking mama? and ... surface scum....

Last night someone was playing football against the wall further up my street... at 1am!!

SF - Hope you are okay and recovered by the fright with the bin store, thats just awful!

LM - I hope you enjoy your bath. I love a cool bath when its this hot, its great way to cool down! Whats happening with the plumbers at the moment? Its a shame about the local kids, it was the same when I lived up in Manchester, people just don't have any respect anymore. Feel free to come and cut my grass when your lawnmower arrives! Also wanted to say that the dress looks lovely - really bright and summery. Bet its lovely and cool.

CCStar - do you not enjoy the heat? It doesn't suit me at all! Its alright when you can go inside with Air Con and cool down, but nowhere has it here,
everywhere is stuffy and hot. Hope you aren't too worse for wear after yesterday! How are you settling in the new house? I didn't know your Son worked at a pub, is he being a grown-up?

Gemini - I'm sorry about your bad news about finances. Have you spoken to the CAB to make sure that you will get everything you are entitled to? I don't know much about benefits and things, I hope it isn't as bad as it looks right now. Who knows what will change in two years. Hope your sting is better - I'm absolutely covered in bites or something, and its not a nice feeling!

Shazrobo - I don't go in the garden that much. I think I might get someone to sort it out a bit - its totally overgrown and I couldn't go out there even if I wanted to! How are you today? I'm sorry that you don't have anyone to discuss things with. Perhaps the Benefits board or the Families board would be able to recommend something? Wish I could help.

Wannabe Sybil - I'm glad you are happy to come on here. I know that feeling of taking one step forward and one step back. Its great that you are posting, and they aren't pointless posts. You are a very valued member of the thread!

Gario - Good luck with the interview today, let us know how it goes.

Sazzy - thanks for the sloppy kisses, just what I needed! Glad you had a good night sleep, long may it continue!

Diamond - ((Hugs)) sorry you aren't sleeping well, it takes it out of you when you don't get a good nights rest doesn't it. Hope your IBS is feeling better this afternoon. I know its annoying about Meds, I used to have to go every 1-2 weeks to get medication, but I only go every 2 months now, which is so much better. Hopefully it won't be long before you stop having to keep going back reguarly.

Carmen - Thanks for the kind wishes, how are you today sweetie? I love your avatar by the way!

Maverick - Nice to meet you :) Looking forward to getting to know you. Hope you slept better last night.

Weegie - where you been? Love the new Avvy, is it you?

Tulip - how did the Karioke go last night? Hope you are having a better day today. Any plans for this afternoon/evening? I loose track of you, always off doing things!

Meyore - the gym in this heat?! I don't know how you do it! How are you today? Not too tired after all your working out I hope!

RBK - Nice to see you around, hope things are okay with you. Thinking of you lots.

PinkLady - You seem to have the same wardrobe problem as me. I'm not sure what is causing all my clothes to be shrinking so much. I blame the heat!

Badger - Hope work is alright today and you are getting some revision done for your exam.

Top_Drawer - Nice to meet you! Pyschology sounds very interesting, and I hope you get things sorted out with your dyselxia tutor.

10past6 - Just wanted to say hello :) You seem like a nightowl, I'm sure we'll run into each other in the middle of the night sometime! Was great to read your reassurances, thank you for posting.

Also wanted to say hello to BMF, ILGD, Miro, Tiff, HazeyJewel, Juno (you okay sweetie?) and all our other lovely posters and regulars.

I'm alright, still a bit sad about my Hamster, and also got a few big things going on in my life, but plodding along. I'm so happy, and I'm so sad at the same time. Very strange.
