Radiators not heating properly.

Hello
We have two radiators which are not heating properly. One gets warm at the bottom but cold at the top and the other doesn't heat at all. We have tried bleeding them but there doesn't seem to be any air or water in there. What could this be?
Thanks in advance.

What sort of heating system do you have?0

I don't really know what system it is
There is a water pressure gage which is set ok.If that helps?0 -
What is the gauge set at? If it is set correctly then there may be a blockage in the pipe work or the TRV may be stuck.0

The gauge is set at 1.5 bar. How can I tell if it's a blockage? I've just checked the radiator which didn't heat at all and this is also slightly warm at the bottom, wouldn't there be no heat at all if it was blocked? and I'm sorry but what is a TRV?

A TRV is a thermostatic radiator valve, a pressure gauge on the boiler indictes that you have a combination boiler, I assume you get your hot water directly from the boiler.
Has any work been done on the system recently, its possible that there is an airlock somewhere in the system.
Its best to bleed the radiators when the pump is off.
What happens when you attempt to bleed the offending radiator, do you get air / water coming out. Also try turning the TRV up to its highest setting. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

The valves are not TVR's, they are just standard valves. I also think jback is right in that it is a sealed system and regular boiler.. Also no air or water comes out when bleeding.0

Hi
No air or water. You might need to turn off the rad valves at both ends then take the vent pin out completely if still no air/water poke a paperclip down the hole.

Try turning off all the radiators that are working and see what happens (Make sure that the valves on the ones that are not working are fully open)
If they then warm up it is probably a question of balancing.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
