Im about to become a full time mature student...and i was wondering if i still qualified for all the student discounts and how i go about getting a student discount card..any adive would be appreciated

Hi there,
it sounds like you are talking about the NUS card - discounts in cinemas/shops etc - your uni will probably be affiliated to the NUS (the vast majority are) and during induction week getting an NUS card will be high on the agenda for most students.

Register for your Student Union card during registration week at Uni and you're away. The only problem I have is getting lots of strange looks when I ask about student discount in shops (I'm 40 something) - doesnt stop them giving it though. Most places give 10% and have special student days ie in book shops where you get special offers on the books you need. Every little helps I say!~A mind is a terrible thing to waste on housework~0
