A little help on changing my banks maybe

Can anyone advice me on 2 new banks,i am currently with halifax current account and have been for about 12 years and abbey basic current account for 6 years
Not sure on the interst rates but i am on incapscity and thats paid into abbey,,halifax is where i save,,but need to withdraw from when i need to
i dont want an account with any fees,,as i dont pay enough in,,but im sure i can get slightly better interest or free overdraft for 12 months

I bank with Alliance and Leicester, they are paying 8.5% AER on there Premier Direct Account, you get the usuall facilities and more, havent had any problems so far, highly recomemded.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? yeah was looking at an A&L but prob is i need to put in £500 a month
