Hi all,
I'm looking for a present for my mum and think she would love the idea of a digital photo frame where we can send photos directly to the frame (we live in a different country).
I don't know much about these frames or if this is even possible?
Can someone let me know how these things work, for example would she need to have broadband with a signal within reach of the frame? As she isn't technically minded the less she has to do the better.
Also how much do these things cost?
Thanks everyone.

wireless frames are not cheap

she would need broadband to make the picture downloads
you could remotely do the work for her via www.crossloop.com if the software is installed on her PC and yoursEx forum ambassador

Many thanks Browntoa. Am I reading the info correctly...my understanding is that if she has wireless broadband installed then I will be able to send photos from my PC directly to the photoframe (using crossloop etc) without her having to do anything?0

I see it as this set up
photo on your PC
upload to photo storage web site
Start crossloop on your Pc
get mum to start crossloop
you take control of her PC
download photos to her PC from storage web site
start photo frame software and send photos to frame

How about this one... http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?NOV-7WIFI
You hook it up to their wifi broadband and point it to a flickr.com account.. then you can just load photos onto that account and it will stream to the photo frame. You wouldn't need to store any photos on your relatives PC.. it would grab it from the net.
It's not even that expensive a frame at £69.98
Here's the frame's website.. i believe they also do an online photo sharing account http://www.momentolive.com/0 -
Brilliant, sounds just what I'm after. Thanks v v much Ringo0
