I agree with Showman, if you are over refunded then they should be entitled to reclaim back the mistake and I am sure they have a legal procedure to follow.

Yes..........................why do you fell that you are entitled to keep it?
i didnt say i was entitled to keep it, but i dont like the thought of a company just taking money out of my account without my authorisation, especially as with this fiasco they obviously dont know what they are doing!!!
dont wait for your boat to come in, get in a dingy and row out to it!!!

Thanks, i picked up 2 graco booster seats for £9.09 each (plus triple points, and points for paying on my tesco c.card) -cheapest i found the same ones elsewhere was £15 each, my kids love the novelty of the drinks holders on them-but usually fill them with rubbish instead!!
Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞

I believe they call that "fraud"

ignore him, his barks worse than his bite. If you read most of his posts he's usually having a pop at someone... best thing to do is smile politely and avoid the dribble.

I doubt they are allowed to debit your card without your permission. Certainly we weren't allowed to when I was working for a large retailer. I dare say they are allowed to write to you informing you of the over-refund and then request that you pay it, but if they've messed up a refund (as they have with me) then that's their problem. If they do request money from your card without your permission then I'd be speaking to mastercard and saying it was illegally taken, without my authorisation (works both ways!).

just an opinion, but would be interested to see where Tesco would stand with debiting people's cards without authorisation.

    I order a Kingsize white pintuck duvet - £5.00
SIM Card (for free delivery) £2.47

    Total - £7.47

Then used £5.00 off £20.00 spend code which worked so theoretically have the duvet for free! What a good day!!
