The problem was that our wonderful governement shifted loads of *doleies* onto IB to keep the unemployment figures low :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Now the IB figures are high because of how *easy* it was to claim and now they want to reduce those figures the real claiments are having trouble.

Now I NEED opinions:

Just dropped a right bollock. DD1's phone rang and a bloke asked for her. He perported to be from *Buzz Radio* saying that she has won a holiday for two to Barbados after sending a text (which she is adament she didnt do).

Now, I gave him our address to send the tickets to (I KNOW I KNOW). I'm pretty sure its a scam although cant quite figure out what kind.

There is NO WAY that number could be traced to her name.

Any ideas ~ should I be worried

I would wait to see what comes in the post and double check the details. Nothing you can really do in the meantime so no point in worrying.

There is a Buzz Radio in the Wirral - could it be them? You could always ring them and ask if it was a genuine competition? Even if it wasn't, they might be aware if there is a scam going round using their name?

I just find it's a lot to do just to send someone some junk mail IYKWIM.

Anyhoo ~ without wanted to dredge anything back up (and I have to do it on here as the other thread is locked) I just wanted to hand YM kudos award for having the brass balls to publically admit that he was mistaken.

It takes a big person to do that and if any of my posts last night were offensive then I also apologise.

we fall out with folks in real life and its the same on here

thankfully these two folks are grown up and ballsy enough to apologise and make up

In todays news:

I have kinda been headhunted, for a job doing NOTHING like I am doing now but one I would be good at and enjoy. In an environment that I LOVE.

I am so excited.

And they say these good things happen in threes.

I am SO putting the lottery on tomorrow
