Well, its been a funny old day.
I have watched my baby celebrate her 6th birthday in style. Did she enjoy it? Well, I have just had to tell her to calm down and the response was:
*I cant, Im too happy* so I think we have done a good mum and dad job today.
Her birthday is always a fantastic time to celebrate the fact she is with us, she had her first operation at 2 hours old and fought like hell to stay so its always extra special if that makes sense. Her tenacity has her here, dressed up as a HSM cheerleader and wafting her pompoms at me right now but its hard not to remember those scary memories of six years ago too although in a funny old way it just makes me more proud
The hardest part of today has been the fact that its our first *celebration* without mum. *Hey Baby* played at her party this morning and we had that at mums funeral as it was DD1's and her song. DD1 got upset but I'd like to think that it just shows she was with us, even if it wasnt in the way we would have liked.
MB took me to the cemetery and we gave her a yellow rose plant. MB checked out her neighbours :rolleyes: even though WE are meant to be the nosey ones but it made me feel that she was still part of the day.
Am I just waffling now? It kinda helps to write it down and I'm sure even more so when I look back.
We spent FAR too much money BUT only our money, we didnt get into any further debt so I suppose its not all bad.

It was pretty grim really, didn't know anyone and Ryan got bullied by a group of lads, then when he got cross and shouted back, one of them punched him in the face. His parents weren't even there so I couldn't really do anything, but I told him not to do it again and he just said 'whatever'. :mad:
So came home feeling quite shiite really - didn't help that Friday night turned into a disaster too, and spent most of Saturday not speaking to Stu. Him and his friend spent the evening flirting with my very attractive, tall, slim friend, leaving me feeling rather hurt and left out. :rolleyes:
I'm so glad the weekend is over, I will be glad to get back to work.
