I have an old pc that has Windows 98 installed. I have XP discs from my new pc could they be used to upgrade the old pc from 98 to XP?

Well, why upgrade go for a clean install. I think you would need the upgrade cd and not a full XP version.0

Is the spec good enough for XP ?
My personal opinion is 500mhz processor and 256mb RAM, and it will be very slow.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

In order for XP to work without over-driving your legacy hardware you will need at least an 800MHZ Processor, 512MB of RAM and a clean install of XP, you could "find" or "ask" somebody for a new XP key.;)Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
