Rangemaster Cooker

I bought a Rangemaster Classic 110 cooker last summer. There are 8 brass coloured knobs on the front. 5 of these have come unglued and fall off every now and then. I have glued them on but can't be using the right glue as they fall off again. Then one fell off and I stepped back on it and dented it.
I wrote to Rangemaster asking which glue would be more suitable and telling them one had been damaged. Bearing in mind that the cooker is only 8 months old I was surprised at the reply.
They said I could purchase new knobs by ringing an 0870 number.
I don't suppose a new knob will cost much but I didn't expect to be paying out anything having spent £1200 on the cooker only last summer

Hi,
I think I would just give their repair centre a call,(0845 603 5312) report the fault with the knobs coming unglued and falling off, let them sort the issue. Its under 12months and covered by manufacturers warranty. With any luck the engineer will replace the dented knob at the same time! Sounds like whoever replied to your letter didnt grasp the fact that it was still under warranty.0
