possible mis priced bill
Options
I've been living in my house for 3 years and my gas and electric combined has never been more than 50 a month. My husband then moved out and I recently changed to npower and for 3 months they sent me a bill for £363.00 .
I have disputed it saying this can't be right I have never used that much and there is now one less person. there saying it is.
They won't let me change supplier and I don't know what to do.

Firstly and probably the most obvious check to make is the meter readings. Are they accurate. Do you happen to have a record of meter readings?
If you have the correct meter readings then it is likely that you have used this much energy. If you are still adamant that it is incorrect then maybe one of you meters are faulty??
I must say, it does sound like a big jump but on the other hand there are logical reasons for you using this amount.
Did you come off a fixed/capped deal for example?
First step is to check your readings against that which npower have.0 -
Since this has happened just after you switched, if it's a reading problem - it's going to be the change of supply reading. So, check your first reading and see if it's ties in with your reading on your meter.
Did you give the handover reading? Check if they used it, has there been a miskey issue by a member of staff e.g. are the digits in the wrong order etc.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
