Atdmt????

My zone alarm told me that something called ATDMT was associated with this site and it is "not a trusted source" or somesuch.
What does this do and why is it on here please? (I blocked it by the way)

  • Thanks queensway boy :)
It appeared to be linked to this site (i.e. MSE), as the zonealarm alert popped up either when i opened the site or when I logged in at the forum. Was this a coincidence? If not I'd like to know why it was being used? It doesn't seem like the sort of thing i'd expect MSE to do, so I'd be interested to see what one of the site's organisers said about it. It didn't appear when I signed in today...

The fact that as far as I am aware its only you that has found it seems to suggest it came from somewhere else as no one else has mentioned it. I am a regularly of mse and run frequent scans for malware/viruses etc and I have not found anything suspicious on mse other than occasionally scam posts by numpety US scammers and the likes

I suspect it is coincidence. The only thing we use are

    A. Google Analytics cookies - so we can see whats being used on the site
    B. Cookies to keep you logged in the forum

I will double check with my techies tho :)

  • Thanks Martin for responding - I think it must have been a coincidence as you say, as it hasn't happened again. Sorry for casting aspersions where none were due!
