Jenna - if you went in at the "new" time of 9:30 but in fact it was really 8:30, then you would be an hour early.

I don't think anyone works at MSE towers on Saturday so theyve put it up today, but yes the clocks to go forward on Sunday morning (bummer if you're at the nightclubs as you get an hour less for your money)!

History - isn't it something to do with the scots farmers wanting daylight to milk cows or something? They tried it many years ago (50's or 60's - definitely BEFORE I was born) where they didn't alter the clocks and loads of kids were killed walking on their way to or from school!

Of course, no kids walk to school now so it wouldn't make that much difference would it - apart from we'd not have to remember to change all the clocks in the house twice a year!!!!

Woo Hoo! Bring on the light nights! Shame it'll be a little darker in the morning for a bit - its hard enough as it is to get up at the mo! :rotfl: I thought Martin was trying to confuse people but its always Sunday mornings - possibly because it minimises the people who get confused!

If you start work at 9.30 but forgot to change your clocks and went in at what you thought was 9.30 then the new time (BST) would be 10.30.
    .....

  • Wouldn't it be a good idea then to just go to bed an hour earlier then you wouldn't have to suffer sleep deprivation for 6 months lol
