Credit Card Query

I have had a credit card for a couple of years now, and make regular payments to clear the balance. At the moment it stands at around £600. I can afford the payments each month, this is just a general question.

The card is through my bank HSBC, and shows up on my online banking with my current account and ISA. When i had this open the other day, my girlfriend noticed something that i had noticed before but just ignored. They have spelt my middle name wrong on the card, and she said that one of her ex flat mates used this as a excuse to clear all the debts she had.

Anyone heard of this method? I could pay the £600 of if needed, however it would be nice if i could get the card cleared with no charge due to the wrong name being on it. Or is it one of those cases where i have used it with the wrong name on so i should of told them when i first got the card.

Cheers

Jamie

Why, just pay what you owe them, dont try and bump them cos it will adversly affect you later in life.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
