Council tax banding

Is there a way to check online to see whether a property has had it's council tax banding changed?
For example, my friend has just had their 2008/9 Demand notice through showing them as Band E and they cannot remember what they were last year- they didn't keep a copy of last year's notice.
...and then the window licker said to me...

  • I eventually rang their District Council and they confirmed that there'd been no change to banding since they'd moved in several years ago. So no harm done!
