Beware Birmingham parking

I should say that's pretty much the going rate for a short stay NCP airport car park (unfortunately).

We park at the train station and get the shuttle train that takes you to the airport. Its only £6 for the whole day there.

Whilst it's not exactly cheap it does sound about right for an airport short stay parking fee.

This also applies if you are being dropped off or picked up from BHX. Drop off at Birmingham International station. Go inside, up the escalator or lift, then on the Maglev. It takes about a minute, runs continually, and takes you inside the terminal. I cannot for the life of me see why people bother to try and drop off at the airport, for which you have to pay £1.

When we pick anyone up from Birminham Airport we always park in the railway station short stay car park. As long as you don't leave the car it is ok I don't think they check very often anyway, and as previously stated the Maglev goes straight from the airport to the station in a couple of minutes.
