1) I have a barclaycard which gave me: £6,800 .
They said to me that there was a 14 month promotional rate and i thought this was a good idea and i woudl be covered at 0% for this period. however i now gather now this was 14 months was for balance transfers only (which i did not need) bur I have being making purchases (just still within that period at the moment) rather than balance transfers. Also i have just read in the small print that once you are over £5000 they will charge a fee of 6.9% on the balance.

2) I have an abbey credit card which gave me: £2,600 (0% interest until October 2008 - think first 3 months can make purchases but need to check the points again)

I have just written to barclaycard stating that this 14 month was not clear and there is additional info in the small print that they do not advertise. the call centre staff says he is putting through a complaint for me but i cannot really see this going anywhere myself. So i really need to find an option of the barclaycard until i can get myself a bit more sorted.

any help for advice of new card or other really appreciated.

kind regards

HSBC card 0% purchase card is good.

There's a full list of 0% purchase cards on the stoozing website: http://www.stoozing.com/purchases.htm

Halifax has longest 0% deal at the moment.

Or are you looking for a 0% balance transfer deal to move your Barclaycard to? There's a full list of these on the site too.
