help please on orange shares

Options
A number of years ago i bought some shares in orange and then moved away and didn't change my address with them. I've come back to a new address and have learnt that France Telecom now have taken this over. The company that was dealing with the shares no longer deals with them and when i ring France Telecom surprise surprise they dont speak english. could anyone give advice on who now deals with these shares. Any help is welcomed and thank you in advance.:D

Try ringing Orange, and speaking to someone at their UK head office. they should put you in the directon of the bank (probably Soc Gen) that handles france telecoms share management service, and share register. It's likely that many orange employees there were also orange shareholders, so someone is bound to know.
Then you have to contact the bank itself, and see if they can track you down on the old orange shareholders register, which they would have used to inform you of the changes, to your old address.
The best bet is to write with all your old and new details, share holding and so on, once you have the right bank, and department. Don't exepct a quick response. French banks take ages to do anything. It's ok to write in english.
It would help if you had the original share certificates, or something on paper from orange showing the level of holding, which you should send A COPY OFF when you write. Don't send any original documentation untill they ask for it.
    Good luck

French Telecom shares are managed by Computershare so were the Orange shares. I'd give Computershare an email on web.queries@computershare.co.uk for info about what happened to them.
