When we've been away for self-catering hols Girl LL, I start taking advantage of any BOGOFs & deals to make up a box of dried stuff to take with us, then buy fresh once there. I've got a set of holiday pots too for taking salt, pepper, smidge of washing powder but then we travel by car...not so easy if you're using public transport. Either way, hope you have a lovely time:D Where are you going?
Here
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, really appreciate it. I'm still gonna have the Tesco delivery but amend it nearer the time. I'll start a box to take with us with tea/coffee/ribena (OH is addicted  ), sugar, my Morrisons bran twigs and a little herbs & spices container, washing powder/fab con, dishwasher powder, loo roll and other things that I'll think of as our jollys draw nearer. The other thing I'm unsure about is whether to include this spend into the monthly budget as some of the items are definately not old stylee  and more of the "I ain't cookin coz I'm on me jollys" stylee :rotfl: .
Just hope the weather could be a bit more organised :rolleyes:0 -

There's a weight loss os thread, not sure how to do links, but it's on the first os page.
Went to Mr S today to stock up on cravendale, the only had 4 bottles left, so total spend was £5.63.
I desperately need to defrost the freezer, so I had to miss out on some whoopsies. At least it means I should have a cheap month. Not looking forward to restocking though! Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j0 -

A disappointing month for me I’m afraid. Confession time. I ended up overspending by £12.92 (budget £130, total spend £142.92). Though it could have been worse.
Hope you all did okay and let's hope May goes better...0 -
Are most people finishing their spending month at the end of this week? or next week?
Ive been totting mine up without a specific goal in mind so now I have the total I can decide what to set my budget at for May. Just need to set the start date and end date. Shall I do another week for this challenge or shall I count May as 5 weeks and end it on 31st May? Thats what Im "thinking" of.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

Hi Angel
I've just joined this thread and asked (on page 113) to be a May member of GC. I hadn't thought about May being a 5 week month so I'm not sure what to do now either!
Hmmm.....? I've put my start date down as 26/04/08 as I did a largish shop then and I do have quite a bit in stock already so I think I shall try to make my budget run till 27th and as I get paid on 28th I'll run my months from 28th to 27th. Well that's the plan now but it could be subject to change.
Can't wait to see how my new signature looks - that could be suject to change too! lol
