Hi All
I want to advertise a 3 bedroom house to let out. The property is in a fairly run down area, but is close to the station and about 3 miles from a university.
Does anyone know off any "free" websites for me to advertise on?
In the past I have succesfully used the local press, however I have missed the deadline to put the ad in and will need to wait a week.
Thanks

does the Uni have a website? What about putting a card on the Uni notice board?
Is there a newsagents near the train station where you could put a card up?
Most shops that put up cards ask for a donation in the charity box.0 -
To advertise at the University it's likely that you'll need to register your property with their Accomms Office first, which will entail checks on fire safety, gas & electrical safety etc, and they'll probably request that you sign up to a local LLs' Code of Practice.
This one is useful: http://www.accommodationforstudents.com/ . You can list your property, have your own mini site or browse through those who are looking for somewhere to live or you could try http://www.studentpad.co.uk/Landlords.asp0 -
Check out gumtree.co.uk it's totally free and they have sites for most cities, you can relist it every 7 days. We are looking to rent a proprty at the moment and listed in the wanted section, have been contacted directly by a number of landlords already with suitable properties, so hopefully will find somewhere soon. It seems quite popular with students... Good luck

Spareroom.co.uk is another good one. Also has free advertising available too.Tough times never last longer than tough people.0

Experience is that adverts with pictures attract more interest. If you've got photos that show the house in a good light, you can use them in a free advert on NoMoreAgents.com. Sparerooom.co.uk has already been mentioned and allows pictures as well.
Beware of scams on gumtree.0
