sorry but I think this is wrong. People should just swap them. Selling them on e bay will just make The Sun not do things like this in future when people are sending for them just to sell and make money.

I still need one for 9th May if anyone has one

I don't know if you are making that comment specifically to me, but I'm not selling them on Ebay. I was just suggesting ideas. Sorry if there was offence caused!!!!

And mine have a day off sick for something like this.
But I'll take em to alton towers on a school day if want!!

So you're happy to let your kids see you lie so that they can have a day of fun, but think selling tickets you can't use on ebay is wrong?

The Sun's allocation system was rubbish, not being able to specify dates. I never read the sun, purely paid for the paper for the offer. about £3.50 I think. This wasn't clear until they printed the application form 4 days into the offer. So because my tickets aren't school holiday dates nor a saturday and I'm not prepared to lie to the school for my kids to have a day of fun like you, I've wasted my £3.50.

OR I could post a link here to where I'm selling them on ebay and use the money toward the 2 for 1 offer I'm going to use instead.:rotfl:

Incidentally, have you read this site's T+C, stating swaps aren't allowed? ;)

"Please refrain from requesting the exchange of personal details either on the forum, via PM or email; particularly for the purposes of selling/trading/exchanging/swapping or giving as gifts."

ok firstly jack, no mate it wasnt meant specifically to you. I just mean that if people send for these tickets to sell on e bay, in future The Sun will think, "We're not doing that again because people are sending for them for profit"

vicker I totally agree with you about the allocation system. especially when most people are taking children so would want 4 tickets. It'd have been better to collect tokens for 2 weeks and give out 4 tickets with a months validity or something.

And yes I am happy to lie for a day of fun because apart from the fact they're both gifted and talented and don't miss out, I don't want to look back in years to come and think "I wish i'd done this and that!" They're not kids long. Plus neither of them have had a day off sick in years so one day here and there means nothing. I am not complaining about the morals of selling on e bay. I just mean offers like the alton towers one will be withdrawn if this practise continues

And I honestly wouldn't worry about taking your children out for one day. You can always catch up with the work for them later;) And unless you have already had 2 weeks holidays this year you don't NEED to lie. They are allowed 10 days.

I do know swaps aren't allowed, but mse seems to have been quite sensible about these tickets recognising that many people have sent for the freebie but other people may benefit from that date. Well done to them.:T

I always go to Alton towers twice a year, Early April and Halloween and generally get both lots through Tesco.

My first visit has been and gone courtesy of Mr T and I sent off my Sun vouchers with a nice little note asking for Halloween (although choosing is not allowed other than the big date ranges) thought it was worth a try.

Imagine my surprise when I got them and they were for Halloween! Not sure if anyone else thought to ask for certain dates or stuck to the rules?? I did and it worked on this occasion... just wanted to mention it for next time!

I guess it could have been a coincidence or maybe also as the date is not imminent. Something to think about, but dont all ask for Halloween he he or I might not get them next time.

Just a pop-in to say that my tickets arrived at last. Yay!
