Rejected for crisis loan, no start date yet for new job - what do I do?

I am in seriously financial limbo here.
I was paid my final weeks wages at my previous job which was only £123 today. I still do NOT have a start date and I am getting tired of chasing references round to begin this new job.
I am very short of money, and with a realtive in hospital who is dying I'm in dire need. I dont want to keep borrowing from my boyfriend all the time, and this is making me really depressed.
I got rejected for a crisis loan which I think is wrong and I am very tempted to appeal.
Is it worth signing on again, claiming from the 11th of March or shall I just hope for the best and go into another job?

You should stay signed on right until the day you actually start a new job.0
