No internet!!!!!!

Have had no internet connection ALL DAY!!!!!!!:mad: B****dy talktalk!!!:D Finally came back on half an hour ago, quick read of the emails and then had to come and have a quick sqwizz(sp!) on MSE!!! Cant sleep unless i have had my daily fix!!!! Off to bed now nite all x

Just what i was going to say. There is a reason I pay BT £25 per month for broadband, and it's the same reason I'm no longer with "Wanadoo"! = The service!

TalkTalk are cheaper as they sell at a higher contention ratio. In other words for every broadband circuit/line THEY buy at the BT exchange they then sell it to say 100 customers. That would be a 100:1 contention ratio.

Compare that with someone like BT or Pipex who may only have a 50:1 ratio.

What this means is come half term etc TalkTalk customers have twice as many people trying to use the line as other more expensive services. So it goes slow, or as you've found you can't connect at all.

It would be a good idea to sign up for a pay as you go dialup internet connection, so if your broadband fails, you can still access the internet, and it won't cost much if you go on during the evening or weekend.

TBH this is the first time we have been without internet connection since we joined talktalk last january........... so really cant complain!!! It was just soooo nnoying not to be able to get on here for the usual chat and freebie hunting:D
