next doors wall

:j Hi, got a question please help,i live in a mid terreced house i have got double extension bed/kitchen about 12 ft long, outside side door off kitchen, youve got 7 ft gap to next doors side wall to their double ext bed/kitchen, no fence or wall except wall seperating gardens further up the garden, if neigbour wanted to do any work on side kitchen wall,he would have to go on my property to do it,my question is ,im thinking of putting lean to in this gap, but using his kitchen wall to plasterboard on using full width off gap(if i had to leave a gap wouldnt benefit much)asked neighbour verbally hes ok with it,but what about in writing ,havent asked him for that ,i am aware about party wall act but this is neighbours wall on my side, would having it in writng be enough for future neighbours if they move, i get on with neighbour but is this ok in writing, asking for it in writing i think could be a different matter, could scare them and then refuse,,,,,,thanks,,,, DRUMMOND,,,,,

yes, but unfortunately for both your benefits you will need a standard letter/form completed, with your neighbours agreement in writing.

    have a look at http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts1996/1996040.htm

    also the odpm website.

i manage to download a pdf file which contained example letters
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)

    dont worry

i have found the url link

    http://www.odpm.gov.uk/stellent/groups/odpm_buildreg/documents/page/odpm_breg_609899.pdf

to send a pm=private message, click on the persons username you are replying to, it will give you and option to send a private message
works like a mix between email and msn
