Hi Guys
I am going to get central heating installed in my house and thinking of putting scale inhibitor. Can anyone suggest which one is the best and where will I find them ? also what sort of amount I should spent on it?
thanks in advance.

You will need something called fernox, you can find info on that here and you can buy it on line here0 -

Best overall could be a water softening system - that is not only good for your central heating but for all the pipes around the house, and you won't get nasty residues in basins, sinks, showers, around sinks etc. Also saves on soap and washing powder, and you won't need any dishwasher salt any longer.
I have a Kinetico, recommended by a local [Portsmouth] expert water softening firm. Had it for coming up 4 years now, and am very happy. There are diferent models, depending on how much water is used in your house. Also important to decide whether you want a single or dual system - dual ones allow uninterrupted water supply.
Your local water company can probably give you the best (free) advice about things.0 -
I was told by a plumber that heating systems are normaly sealed, its the same water going round and round, so scale is not a problem for central heating.
I've got the Electronic Scale Inhibitor, wrap some wires round the inlet pipe, and plug it in. But I've noticed no difference, my kettle still gets limscale on it.0
