It is all down to your relationship with business manager, as h4nym pointed out. All charges as well as refunds are made upon his discretion. You may as well have free premium and business banking packages along with share dealing for life as some of us have. ;) I am with NatWest purely because of my business manager. (My premium manager is useless as nearly all staff in my local branch.) But I like this flexibility of ringing his mobile or one of his secretary’s if there is something urgent going on my accounts. (Mostly to sort out NatWest’s ridiculous mistakes e.g. recently “forgetting” to send out standing order because it was not “claimed” on TWO consecutive occasions:rolleyes:)

Otherwise it is a good bank with UK people on the phone 24/7, local number access and relatively advanced online banking.

So, Ady, it is a person you are choosing rather than a bank (not underestimating convenience of location and offered facilities). I had a short and unpleasant experience with A&L and Barclays business accounts before arriving at current deal.
You can ask your local colleagues - someone will certainly give you a recommendation.

In that case, let's hope your Business Manager doesn't move on in the near future, Denys...!
