I use picasa 2 as my photo organiser. Very good at searching through everywhere and pooling it into one viewer and continuously scanning set folders etc for new photos. Should be easier to work from to move everything to one folder if you want to.
I'm trying out Microsoft Expression Media as well but too early to say how good it is."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Hi, would you mind giving me a bit more detail please? I've looked at the website, and it all looks quite straightforward...!
Thanks

Basically does what it says on the tin. It will search for all the pictures you have and present them in the viewer in any order you want (by folder, by chronology). Very simple interface with very easy basic editing functions as well (adding photo effects, sharpening pictures, removing red eye etc). Even though I use GIMP for photoediting, I always use picasa to convert pictures to smaller sizes etc and for the basic stuff because it's much easier and it's easier to handle going through many pictures etc.
Usually I pretty cynical and sceptical of Google's software and so didn't try it for ages but I found it great to use. All I can advise is that you install it and give it a try. Nothing to lose and you can always uninstall it afterwards."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

If its as good as Expression web it should be ok.
I think
Well I definitely like the look of Expression studio as a whole. I'm playing around with all of it at the moment (haven't really done much web development/design and thought it an ideal opportunity to really get into it). Got the full studio 1.0 installed (completely free and legal before anyone asks, from Dreamspark) and also 2.0 beta as well and messing around with everything."She is quite the oddball. I would thoroughly recommend Picasa 2, I use it all the time, it has so many easy to use functions and its free. I also use the Web Album facility to store my new daughters photos so family members abroad can log in and see her develop.

Just a quick one...downloaded picasa and i am over the moon with it, anyway went to download some photos that i had taken today but for some reason they go right into the fugi finepix site, ( this is what they always went into ) for a brief second it comes up with a choice ie p.c. picasa but finepix comes right up and overides the box with the choices in..........how can i change this ?0

Not sure specifically of finepix's menu or options but personally I don't use my camera's software at all. In fact I uninstalled it altogether, which'd be one solution of making sure it didn't override anything. Whether that's right for you or not I don't know but it's definitely worth thinking about that if you don't use something any more is it worth keeping it installed?
As an addendum, it's not like you've permanently lost anything as you can always reinstall it again in future."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
