Hope Im on the right forum!
Basically I want to get an iPod Nano (pref 8GB) and have seen them on ebay for about £50 (says there new and sealed boxes)
There £120 on Amazon!
Is ebay a reputable place to buy an iPod from? Has anyone bought one off ebay before?
Thanks for your help

there are a lot of fakes on ebay and £50 sounds way to cheap for an 8gb!0

Check out the sellers reputation. Also make sure you pay via pay-pal. That way, if they duped you, you get the money back. It is impossible to say wether it is safe to buy the item, it changes from seller to seller.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

As said, make sure they're proper ones. There's some that look exactly like an iPod nano but aren't.
Also many of the £50 ones are refurbished ones - usually ones which have had dead batteries. Not a problem in itself but just beware it's not new.0 -
I bought an MP4 player from ebay (although it was only £22), supposedly with 8gb memory. Turns out the memory had been hacked and it would crash if I tried to put more than 1gb on, the true memory was only 968mb. I reformatted it because it was still a cheap buy, but after a fortnight it stopped working completely. I managed to get half of my money back through paypal, but it took a long time.
Therefore I wouldn't recommend buying one from ebay.Well I can't stand by the side
And watch this life pass me by

I bought a good used iPod via eBay but I made sure I could collect it from the seller who lived only a mile away!

I also had a decent used iPod from Ebay, cost me £80. Was a 4G 20Gb model, and I had it for 8 months (had to replace the battery, but that only cost £8 from ebay, and well worth it).
After 8 months, I sold it for £105 and bought a refurb 30Gb Video 5G for £120 from Apple.
They're not all bad on there!0 -
consider this:

comes straight from apple and comes with warranty etc, very good prices.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
