If you poison the tree with the intention of killing it, other than the legal aspect that the tree is not yours you have to think what will happen when the tree falls over? Why not remove the fence panel in question and just enjoy the tree?Win £2008 in 2008 member 236Januarys Wins £322 & signed Rugby ballFebuary Wins: £400

not a quick solution but i was told to hammer copper nails into a tree to kill it but i think it takes quite a while to work.
i was told to cut the tree down and poor diesiel on what is left. but i doubt you can cut it down, unless you do it in middle of the night!!!!!!!!!.0 -
Is the tree yours? If not you are commiting an offence. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0

The neighbour might come back and haunt you if they were partial to their tree!:D

I don't think OP knows.
How sad that someone has to kill a treeDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
How about you pop round to the house and cut the tree down...
a) new council tenants will assume that it was done already
b) you get your own way
if the house is empty, no one will really care, and if you were to do it on a sunday, then no one would bat an eye lid.0 -

It seems such a shame to poison it and if you do that or chop it down you could well be in deep trouble if there's a Protection Order on it! If it's the branches that are pushing onto your fence then I suspect you could chop the part/s necessary off and leave the tree alone. Using anything ridiculous like diesel will ruin your garden as well as the neighbouring one and again, get you into trouble, so please - don't do anything remotely like that.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals SizeGrand Totals of all members[/B] (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j
