Just had a look at Bra Angel.....if it works it will be terrific, needed something like this for a long tome. I´ve lost count of the number of cup wires which have come adrift over the years.0

Thanks for this, this happens to me alot, at a 34HH
I do just keep sewing them back in. It happened loads of times with a particular style I'd bought from Bravissimo, it was a plunge cut, and that seemed to put a lot of stress on the wires. Good to know about bra angel - they're too expensive to keep replacing all the time!!

I've found that it happens a lot more in some brands than others!
Was in B & Q one day, and felt something crawling up my chest... looked down and the bra wire has not only worked loose since that AM, but was trying to make the Great Escape! Hope no-one was looking at the CCTV as I tried to push it back in....0 -

My favourite one's just developed a loose wire - pretty white cotton bras are few and far between in a 32G - so thanks to the OP for starting this thread.
Hi Rzl, good to see you!
I am interested about what you said, because I found Bravissimo fitting really a bad fit for me, they squeezed me in the smallest bra you could ever imagine wearing, I could hardly breathe! The cups were ok but the back size was impossible to wear and rolls of fat spilled all over my armpits, rolls that I don' normally even have! The fitter said that it is normal. Did I get an inexperienced fitter, do you think?
I swear by M&S fitting which I find much more generous and less constrictive.
Also, if you buy M&S bras and get the wire thingy you can return the bra no matter how long you had it and they will replace it if you complain about its quality. I have done that a couple of times and had no problems.

Worth knowing, thank you. I have seen off a couple of washing machines with this problem.0 -

doh! i wish i'd known that on sunday - when i mended a 6month old m&s very nice balcony bra! oh well, i did a good mend with a small piece of bias twill tape over the top to stop it poking through again. but then, i'm sure i could unstitch it as the idea of a new bra is quite applealing...Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Good to know, most of mine retire because of this.0 -
Ladies, for the wire to poke through your bra is a breach of the Sales of Goods act which holds that goods must be fit for purpose and of adequate quality. If you are told wear and tear applies here tell them not to !!!!!!!! you because consumers are always protected against this sort of thing. Consumers are of weaker bargaining power, the companies we buy goods from are in a better position than we are to replace faulty goods. So I would encourage that you all try to go back to where you bought the bra and demand [nicely and respectfully] for a replacement or refund [but you're more likely to succeed asking for a replacement].0

I was told some years ago to always use a lingerie bag in the washing machine when washing underwired bras. I find the padded bags best. This week, for the first time in years, I had a wire poke through - the first time since I've used a bag. Before that I used to have them poking through all the time. I know I'm wearing the correct size and it's an expensive bra so maybe I've just been unlucky this time.0
