As I've said in other DAB threads, I have a Pure Evoke 1xt and its excellent. Pure are a strong brand in in terms of DAB manufacturers.
As far as DAB being replaced, I would say doubtful (certainly in the next few years, long term, naturally it will). Take up is very strong now and the introduction of DRM is not going to change that. As a kind of young person, since I bought my DAB set I now listen to the radio more and more and find myself checking the radio listings, something I never did when I listened to FM/AM/LW.

Don't know where you got that idea from! It's not something I implied. Indeed, I was saying that OFCOM are to release additional frequencies in due course, which will strengthen the DAB provision and offer greater choice, so long as all broadcasters get a fair crack at applying for a place on the available frequencies.

As a radio enthusiast, I am very pleased to read that!

Further to what I was saying, here's some more info about DAB and DRM combined radios ...

RadioScape, the world leader in Software Defined Digital Radio solutions, will be showcasing multi-standard digital radios based on its recently launched RadioScape RS500™ module at IFA 2005 in Berlin, Germany (2-7 Sept 2005). RadioScape has worked with several leading manufacturers who will be launching their digital radios at the show that will be able to receive DRM™ (Digital Radio Mondiale™) as well as DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast), FM with RDS, LW, MW and SW.
