Hi have asked before but carnt find my post to update about the sure start maternity grant!
My partner works 39 hours a week and gets £158 recent payrise!
i get £104 per week ctc and cb i dont work SAHM
then wtc montly of £298.
We pay full rent and council tax.
I have a 4 year old daughter and a 16 year old brother whom im claiming for and diff people keep telling me diff things about getting this sure start maternity grant of £500.Upon looking on the dwp website it says i cannot claim unless im getting a higher rate of tax credits {working} but i cannot find my claim form and refuse to call the 0845 number to speak to them so could you guys advise me to see if i qualify for this im now around 32 weeks pregnant and i know you can claim it from being 29 weeks.

The higher element of tax credits is the CTC not the WTC part.
If you get more than the family element of CTC you may be eligible for the grant. You'll need to check your awards notice.0 -

If you are getting £104 per week child tax credit that's more than the family element so you should qualify0

you get less ctc if your overall income is higher. you get the family rate (approx £10 a week) for income up to £50k per week so the lower your overall income the more ctc you get0

Make the claim anyway if you're still having doubtsI'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0
