Yes very fast, although the text looks more blurry to me. Bland colours. Seems to have a spell checker as well. Must make macs look fast as well!!. Much faster than the beta IE8 I was running. Will try it for a week.0

I tried a previous version and hated it. Have they improved the interface at all? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

No. There's slight improvement but it's still so bad I couldn't bear to keep it installed. So just the usual IE, Opera and FF installed for me. I optimised it for my monitor but the text still looked blurry and strained my eyes. After using IE's cleartype it made me feel like I needed reading glasses. I think I'd already mentioned on another thread about it that although it has fast rendering it seems to sometimes get "stuck" between pages. Overall speed although improved since last version doesn't seem any faster than IE7 at all."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Feels faster than IE to me. In my opinion, it looks nicer and the spell check is nice. I also rate the bookmark changing interface very highly. Snap-back is also a good function. So far, I like it!Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

Oh and the other thing was that it installed Apple Update even though I specifically chose not to. (makes the tick options moot). Installing things without permission is a big no-no in my book and in the past I've dropped all software from companies that did that with just one of their products."She is quite the oddball. Probably psychological. It seems to render artifacts as it gets them so you can "see" it loading (which has its advantages). Whereas IE tends to render all at once when it's finished downloading the artifacts. But I found the time to get complete/finished pages (cached and uncached) was about the same or sometimes a bit slower for Safari when it got particularly stuck switching fast between pages."She is quite the oddball. You may not be so impressed to find out that there's a massive security hole in it that's not yet been patched.

"The most dangerous vulnerability could allow a maliciously structured website to "falsify the web address and enter another page or content." That would mean that you might see an expected URL in Safari's address bar but the actual source address might be different, potentially loading malicious code that could put your computer and data at risk.
The second vulnerability could be triggered by downloading a file with a very long filename, which could cause a buffer overflow condition possibly leading to memory corruption that might permit the execution of arbitrary code.
Web User reports that security firm Secunia has classified both of these fresh vulnerabilities as "highly critical" flaws, its second highest severity rating."0 -

It is rather a poor naming convention. Would have been better to type "Safari 3.1 for Windows"."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Funny thing is appparantly you're not allowed to use Safari for Windows on Windows:
