New feedback rules

it is only a minority of bad sellers out there, some of us guys actually want to give good service and sell good products. Why shouldn't we have the same rights as buyers??? ebay keep moving the goal posts, without us sellers you would not be able to buy...............0

The advantage of the new feedback system is that the very bad sellers will get their just deserves, there is a seller who sells mobile phones as VGC but when I ordered one it arrived all battered and bruised.
Buyers rarely give him a negative because he always gives a rude one in return. I expect he will be getting quite a few negatives.
So in other words because buyers refuse to leave feedback to warn other buyers these rogue sellers continued to get away with trading. Due to that ebay have now gone down the 'nanny state' route to protect all those poor little buyers from nasty negs on the few occasions that they were not warranted.
If buyers had used the system properly and left negs for bad service regardless..then this would not have been a problem. Most regular ebay users have seperate buying and selling accounts anyway so a single neg on a buying account, even a retaliatory one, is not a problem at all. I do think though that there are some buyers who are less than patient or don't understand ebay who may, under th eold system, have run into sellers they percieve to be a problem and were afraid of a whole list of retaliatory negs. In reality though the rogue sellers are few so most buyers would only have ever needed to leave one or two negs in the whole of their buying experinece. Any buyer who has more problems than that is obviously not reading the auctions properly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Couldn't have put it better myself, thank you0 -
Bottom line for me is a negative for a buyer who only buys or has seperate accounts for buying and selling has zero effect. As a seller I cant block a buyer that has lots of negatives unless he has minus 1 feedback or worse.
An unfair negative (or more) for a seller though can have a major effect on their business and whilst providing a superb service on eBay unfortunately there are a number of totally unreasonable buyers who will get major pleasure from leaving a negative.
I have 100% feedback however my DSR ratings are between 4.7 and 4.8 therefore not everyone has been 100% happy obviously despite me including a note with every item saying if a customer isnt 100% please contact me to resolve the issue.
This will make eBay the same as Amazon. Ive had the odd buyer on Amazon including one this week that said 'I know you posted this on the day I purchased it and the delay was down to Royal Mail but Im still dissapointed about the delay-what feedback do you think is appropriate for you'! AARRGGHH:mad:
Also had a negative left for a £2 cable which said 'TV was almost 3 weeks late being delivered'. I didnt sell him a TV, only a cable, presumably the TV was from another Amazon seller. Ive contacted him to explain and he just ignores my emails. Totally unreasonable but I have to take the unfair feedback. eBay will be the same.[EMAIL="abuse@moneysavingexpert.com?subject=Reporting%20post%20http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=9696933"]
