Me again
The calculator is great and seems to be getting used by alot of new members (although the format they post it in is not always MSE or they haven't done: right click, select all to copy it here).
One thing i have noticed when trying to advise on what cared to transfer or tart though is that we don't know the limit on the cards which can be handy to know. Has there been any other feedback about whether this would be useful to have? Just another column after the APR, but if i'm the only one that's mentioned it then i'm probably just being pedantic
Thanks again for creating this tool. :TAfter falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Just filled in my details on that SOA Calculator and found that I have a grand total of -49 for debt re-payments.... Oh dear, Im in the boo boo! :eek:So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable Christopher Reeve (1953-2004)0

Hi clariman, a little suggestion
You have sections for Telephone a seperate one for Sky /cable and a seperate one for internet , maybe adding another row for multi package and add in brackets
ie ; Landline /internet/ tv
I really do think this is the best soa calculater and a great helpPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying. Of all the peeps on this board you're the kindest & most supportive of all & I'm  &

Thanks for the suggestion. At the moment the user can either split the cost of the package out into its constituent parts or just put it all against the Sky/Cable entry (or the telephone one). I'm not sure whether it would be better to have a package entry? What would people prefer?

I think it might be a bit confusing to have two places where potentially you could enter the same information, so personally I think it is best as it is - if they cut and paste it, people could always edit the names of the entries afterwards.0

I will be doing some updates to the SOA Calculator later this week, so will review this thread for suggestions. If you have any suggestions to make, this would be a good time. The main change that I plan is to check that all information entered by the user is numeric, so that we no longer get the "NaN" (not a number) appearing in the results.
Thanks

I've just used the calculator for the first time and thought it was fantastic. You have basically cut down the amount of time it would take me to produce at home from about 2 hours to 5 minutes!!!
- def keep the neat columns over font. Much better with it that way.
- can you export into another format ie excel/word so someone can use to produce a neat document for sending to creditors?
- I like the idea of adding in a snowball calculator tool which can be used for the more serious mse'rs around
- can we save details then add in new details but still be able to review the situation from past to present (and also predict dfd etc?)
oh and p.s. Is there anyway you can make it say that my incomings are more than my outgoings??? :rolleyes:DFW 228 LONG H 68
