    :o Me again

The calculator is great and seems to be getting used by alot of new members (although the format they post it in is not always MSE or they haven't done: right click, select all to copy it here).

One thing i have noticed when trying to advise on what cared to transfer or tart though is that we don't know the limit on the cards which can be handy to know. Has there been any other feedback about whether this would be useful to have? Just another column after the APR, but if i'm the only one that's mentioned it then i'm probably just being pedantic

Thanks again for creating this tool. :T

Glad to see it being used. I'm not sure what more I can do to make it clear (a) which format button to press and that (b) everything needs to be copied and pasted from the formatted window.

I haven't had any further feedback requesting it, but I may solicit some from the other site where it is being widely used.

Pleasure. I'm just pleased that it is being used.

Now I know why all the newbies had the same format for their SOAs!

    ie ; Landline /internet/ tv

Thanks for the suggestion. At the moment the user can either split the cost of the package out into its constituent parts or just put it all against the Sky/Cable entry (or the telephone one). I'm not sure whether it would be better to have a package entry? What would people prefer?

I think it might be a bit confusing to have two places where potentially you could enter the same information, so personally I think it is best as it is - if they cut and paste it, people could always edit the names of the entries afterwards.

I will be doing some updates to the SOA Calculator later this week, so will review this thread for suggestions. If you have any suggestions to make, this would be a good time. The main change that I plan is to check that all information entered by the user is numeric, so that we no longer get the "NaN" (not a number) appearing in the results.
    Thanks

I've just used the calculator for the first time and thought it was fantastic. You have basically cut down the amount of time it would take me to produce at home from about 2 hours to 5 minutes!!!
    • def keep the neat columns over font. Much better with it that way.
    • can you export into another format ie excel/word so someone can use to produce a neat document for sending to creditors?
    • I like the idea of adding in a snowball calculator tool which can be used for the more serious mse'rs around
    • can we save details then add in new details but still be able to review the situation from past to present (and also predict dfd etc?)
I appreciate it might make it a bit messy and there really is nothing which takes away from it being a great tool for those first time visitors and those in a panic as well as the rest of us for doing a review every now and then.

oh and p.s. Is there anyway you can make it say that my incomings are more than my outgoings???
