Husband got an mbna bus card but just realised there is a £29 fee for it charged in the first month. It has to be paid minimum payment £5 by the 31st....personal mbna cards you can pay online with working day leeway but this NOPE!!!!! It won't accept an online payment. My bank will take 5 days to set up the first one and there doesn't seem to be a way round it. Its not for the sake of the few pounds, he is so upset at getting a negative credit rating over it!!!!!Help, does anyone know a quick way to pay?

MBNA bank with Co-operative Bank. It may be possible to pay over the counter at a Co-operative Bank branch and get the funds credited to MBNA the same day - you'd have to ask them.

Otherwise you could get the money sent by CHAPS, subject to a big fee, to arrive same day.

I don't understand why your husband didn't set up a DD immediately the card arrived, in which case you wouldn't be in a predicament, or indeed why you didn't pay the statement balance when the bill arrived. But anyway, here are a few ways round the situation.
