Galaxy Serene Deluxe Shower (aka G9000) £49.99 at Aldi

I've had an electric shower that died and have been searching a replacement.
Found a cracking electric shower that gives a good powerful shower, and won't throw a wobbly when winter comes and the water needs heating more.
I was about to fit a Triton Topaz T100si 8.5Kw (I got for £150 through spotting an old sign at Homebase). Then I spotted the Galaxy Serene Deluxe 9.5Kw for £49.99 at Adli.
Not as good looking as the Triton Topaz, but better than I expected at performance, even at very hot temperatures the flow is powerful. Complete with soap dish and 5 mode variable handset - so you get loads of fine sprays etc if you want. With power on and overheat indicators. 2 Year Guarantee. Apparently this is very similar to the older model made by Galaxy called G9000/G9000E/G9000S.
Anyone want my Triton Topaz T100si? or shall I take it back for a refund? Still got the receipt and could post it as it is still a bargain.

If you have the receipt and can get a refund then you should take it back.
Buying and selling is discouraged on mse forums. While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems.

Would you believe it ...I recommend a shower to my friends and sparky give a review on MSE.com the next day....brilliant !
I stood in Aldi and looked at this shower for ages. I thought it looked good. The price was great.
It's made by a well known english company that makes heaters and rads. The name escapes me for the mo.
2 year warranty with options to extend it. What more can you ask for ??
Excellent info sparky !

Well, I've had the shower installed for 3 days now, and it's great.
The Galaxy shower brand is actually produced by Glen Dimplex - a well known company, as a previous member mentioned.
I heard on the grapevine that Galaxy shower brand are created by a group of people who decided to leave Triton and set up a company themselves.
I particularly like the showerhead with 5 different spray formations - that was definately missing from my last shower.
This shower looks similar to the Triton Jade 2 9.5Kw shower, and is considerably less expensive.
One of the best things about the shower is that it seems to cope with changes in pressure, like when someone turns on a cold tap somewhere in the house, it regulats the shower so that it doesn't suddenly go hot then cold.
Also, by turning the temperature down slightly you get a very very very powerful jet of water at a medium temperature - so refreshing.
there's loads left in aldi.
