CCJ threat- bit worried

Hello,
I know Im being really silly here- but got in tonight and Black Horse (aka rubbish bit of Lloyds TSB) are threatenning me with legal action and even though Im bankrupt it's still worried me a bit.
Ive told them/sent them details of my bankruptcy order- now Ive got a letter from their "solicitors"- if I dont pay in 10 days I'm in for it- basically.
Logically- I know Im bankrupt and they cant do anything- but Im really worried about them going for a CCJ ( dont know why- bankruptcy's kind of the ULTIMATE county court judgement after all).
Can they actually DO anything??
Also First Direct want me to send all my cards/cheque book back- but the OR wants them too- Im thinking the OR is more important here- is this right??
If I dont reply/say thanks please dont think ignorant- have to sign off now as up at crack of dawn (5.30am) for work.
Night, Dodecanese.

HI Dodecanese
I think as many have said on here - these Companies are notoriously slow at `getting the message` & in these big organisations their different sub divisions don`t speak to each other.. Nearly 30yrs in financial services has taught me that much & even with computer technology they are still no better!! I suspect here that LTSB will know about your BR but their records take so long to be updated!!
Speak to the OR ...it is their job to take on board your financial affairs..they should deal with the Black Horse so best that you don`t get into negotiations except to keep giving out your BR ref/ OR details..I know that when you get letters like that it is worrying...but banks are still the same `dinosaur` organisations they have always been!! Dispite how much they try & cover this up!
Hope this helps, Sleep well - don`t have nightmares!

If they are really daft they could try. Your bankruptcy is all the defence you would need to get any action immediately squished. If you can prove they had already been informed the the court/judge would be far from impressed.dodecanese wrote: »Also First Direct want me to send all my cards/cheque book back- but the OR wants them too- Im thinking the OR is more important here- is this right??
Yep. Doesn't matter what First direct ask for or want. You are bound by a court order to cooperate with the OR/trustee NOT First Direct. The OR's wishes come first.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi Dodec, i would say that black horse aka lloyds crappy bit cant do a jot as you are BR now and all creditors and letters need to be directed to the OR from now on...just enjoy being 'free' and forget these horrible chasing letters and hasselling people.
also with the cards etc...you will need to send/give them to the OR as proof of accounts etc.
Enjoy work!...5.30am...ouch!
Take care.

Fermi,
it would be funny if they tried to force court action and had to pay out themselves as we all know that it will be thrown out...i hope they try and lose some money!!!

Hi everyone- thanks for the replies- I called Lloyds/Black horse today- they were a bit stroppy at first but I just said something along the lines of I didnt want them to waste their time and they were ok in the end.
Called First Direct too- not happy that I wont hand over the cards- they seem to think Im going to go out and spend- despite freezing the account and withdrawing facilities. I quoted Fermi and said "Im bound by a court order"- it worked a treat!!
Thanks again!!0
