Phone from abroad help please!

Hi,
Friends of mine are going to turkey. They want to ring back but only have an old one2one (t-mobile) phone (unlikely to be tri-band).

They want to ring back to england. Whats the cheapest/best way to go about it?

sign up for a callback service - calls cost about 16p per minute to UK landlines - the uk2abroad service Martin mentions charges 60p per minute

Also look into calling cards when there to use in callboxes or from landlines - may be cheaper than mobile use.

If they really need to receive calls on their UK number, I reckon it is easier to take two phones and remember to sign up for Int'l call option - be very careful though - the network tariff needs to be double-checked as some UK networks count Turkey as Europe, and some Rest of the World.

Don't forget to look up cheap calls companies to call the Turkish mobile from UK
