Back to work perks on IB

Does anyone know if there any back to work schemes that i could be entitled to as i am claiming IB?

I have just been offered a job after being off for 18 months with back problems from my last job.

Thanks in advance.

Ring your JCP Benefit Centre and ask about both Job Grant (up to £250), and RTWC- see attached-

I think RTWC will be rolled out nationally in early April.

I was on IS for 5 years to bring my daughter up and then went back to work and the area I stay was one of the areas piloting that 'In Work Credit' £40 payment and it was great...I think it is a great initiative but the only thing I would say is try not to get used to it....don't budget anything using it (unless you are only needing something for a year obviously!!) as it does finish after 52 weeks and it is a wee shock to the system...a whole year is a long time to get used to an extra £160 a month and then it stops dead!!

I also got the £250 Job Grant and £50 'discretionary' payment from the lone parent advisor to buy stuff for my interview

    Hope this helps :)

    Thank you for the replies.

Unfortunately it looks like i wont be entitled to the return to work credits due to the job being over the 15k limit.

Is there anything else available? The job grant thing i will look into as i could do with some work clothes.
