Bt Hub Help Please

I have a bt hub which I use as a second line. I was trying to see if 1571 could be set up a few weeks ago and it has only come to my notice now that I've somehow messed up. If anyone calls the broadband number it immediately goes to answering mode but doesn't ring. If you leave a message it doesn't record! So I don't know how many calls I've missed. It is somehow connected to my normal number too as when I dial out from my normal phone if I put the hub phone on loudspeaker it also dials through that.

I have just tried reregisteing it to the Hub but that made no difference.
Can someone help me seperate the 2 please?

Thank you both. When I come home tonight I'll to find out how I access the settings. I remember the BT guy could not download the usual stuff to my Computer last month because I'm on Vista. This was when he reset everything as I could not access the internet.

It's not just the phone not ringing though. It's the fact that it goes immediately to answering machine and doesn't record. If I try using the hub phone to call the normal phone line it tells me I need to access 1571 to listen to my mail.

Thank you all sorted now. It looks like my hub phone was not registered.
