Trouble with Wireless Adaptor

Using XP + SP2 plus all Windows latest updates.
Have had prior to the updates, a working wireless network, using 'Belkins Wireless G+ USB Adaptor' (model no FSD7051uk, version1115uk). I've reinstalled the installation software after getting no where. The program is now back in 'Program Files' and a shortcut is back on my desktop. Now it seems that I can't get the 'Belkin Wireless Monitor Utility' to show/run. The small icon is also not present in my system tray, while the USB adaptor is connected.
Any Ideas? Please.
Thanks in advance.
