Snowy Christmas hols !

We are thinking of a week in a snowy, log cabin type of environment for a Christmas holiday.
Anyone already done it ? Any tips or advice would be very welcome.

we did lapland for christmas just gone, stayed in a place called Yllas in Finland, we went with inghams for a week, it was truely magical

christmas week is a very busy week and maybe sold out already but check out inghams and crystalski, they are the main companies that do a week in lapland rather than the santa breaks,

for a family of 4 expect to pay about 2k for christmas week but also remember that if you have kids that you also need to lug out all the presents etc, we have booked for new year this year as don't want to have all that santa hassle - check out www.laplandforum.com for loads of info on lapland hols etc
