Barclaycard - Special Cashback offer - Beware!

Took a Barclaycard out at the beginning of last year for 12-13 months 0% on purchases. A month before the offer expired (earlier this year) did a balance transfer to Mint. Rang Barclaycard to cancel and they offered me 2% cashback on all purchases.
A statement in January came out as £0, February the statement came and paid off the entire balance. This month's statement however lists the last payment (which matched the outstanding balance of the previous statement) but at the bottom of the transactions there was an interest charge. Rang them and the girl at the other side was trying to tell me that I've been making partial payments. What partial payments? The only payments to the account apart from the full amount for the last couple of months are the cashbacks which are automatically debited to the account on the statement day. I even made the last payment few days prior to the bank holidays and reached the account long before the statement due date!
I was told they will refund the transaction.
Now why do I get the feeling that next month another interest surprise is going to be waiting for me?
So, if you've taken advantage of their cashback offer when rang to cancel the account, check for any interest charges.
