I have gone with the solicitor who the EA recommended, and told me it wouldn't be more than £600. I got a letter from the Sol today with estimate of costs... We did the same and went with the solicitor that EA recommended and then quickly called and cancelled. Instead we wrote to 4 different solicitors in the area and went for the most reasonable, who turned out to be fantastic. We just said that we wanted a fixed cost and an idea of under what circumstances their hourly rate would be charged. Then we had it all in writing and could make a comparison between them.
