Hi there,
I have been given a really competitive quote by castle insurance (over 50's) for building and contents insurance, sumary below
Buildings Insurance up to £500,000.
Inc Alt Accommodation
Within Buildings Insurance: Cover for Outbuildings included.
§ Contents Insurance up to £50,000.
New for Old basis, excluding Clothing & Linen
Within Contents Insurance: Cover for Freezer Contents included.
Cover for Money/Credit Card Liability included.
Cover for any Contents in a locked Outbuilding included.
§ Accidental Damage for Buildings Insurance.
Inc Cover against any Damage to:
/Fixed Glass/Fixed Sanitary Ware/Bathroom Fixtures & Fittings
§ Accidental Damage for Contents Insurance.
Inc Cover against any Damage to:
/All Audio-visual/Entertainment/Electrical Equipment
§ Excess of £50. Both Buildings & Contents
Will only cost me £120, I'm very tempted to take it what do you think? Im a member of a lot of cashback sites and currently have insurance with legal and general, but at the above price I'm think of just going with the direct quote without going through the cashback sites.
thanks

Martin57, I had a quote for home/contents insurance from Castle Cover. I went onto the Money Supermarket website & got numerous quotes. M/S phoned me & asked me if I wanted to be passed to Castle Cover. I made the mistake of saying ''yes'' as the salesman was on the phone for 45-50 minutes. He wouldn't give me a quote & let me think about it.
I hadn't received this years renewal notice so he asked me to find last years. I walked across the living room & unplugged the phone lead from the wall socket. The salesman was far too pushy & was using 'hard sell' tactics. In the end he was just too pushy for his own good!
I eventually followed Martin's advice & used www.comparethemarket.com to get numerous quotes. I took out cover with AXA via the Post Office. I will get £50.00 cash back in 60 days time.0
