Re: why some got the voucher & some didn't... I emailed them a few days ago and got this reply (how they know who DOESN'T shop there is beyond me!):
    ???

    Thank you for your message.

Thank you very much for your recent email to ASDA Customer Relations.

The voucher was sent out to non-ASDA customers in an attempt to convert them to ASDA. If you already shop with us we have not sent you a voucher as you are already aware of the great savings and enjoyable shopping experience that can be had at ASDA.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me, I will be more than happy to help.

    Kind Regards

Re Asda vouchers being sent to non customers

I always shop in Asda and did have a reward card a few years ago until they did away with it.

I got my £10 voucher last week and did my first online shop with them about 2 weeks before that. I thought it was something to do with that.

    What a load of tosh!!!!

We have shopped with Asda many times,in fact,we've also shopped online with them, and we received said voucher, although it was only acceptable at the Dewsbury branch.

    Ken.
That's my mutt in the picture above.
  • I just sent an email to Asda asking why I hadn't received the voucher when other people, who also shop regularly as Asda, have.
Will let you know when I receive their reply.
I say what I like, I like what I say!
  • Hi, I emailed Asda and enquired about the voucher, this is the reply I got:
    Thank you for your message.

Eh??? They told me they sent the vouchers to non-customers and now they've told you that they sent them to regular customers??? Wish they'd make up their minds! This is ridiculous! ???

Maybe be should all flood them with emails... then they'd know not to mess around with money savers ;)

We usually do our shopping at Asda so I used the £10 voucher, sent to my wife, when I shopped the other day. At the end of the transaction the checkout operator gave me a savings card with £5 loaded onto it, explaining that it was my reward for spending the voucher. I suppose it's one way of getting people to shop again.
  • I used mine in Tesco tonight, I tried to get Asda to send me another but they said it was a mail shot and there were no more vouchers available. If they'd sent me an email saying it was to attract new custom and not for regular shoppers, I'd have emailed back and said well you've just lost one of your regulars.
